Dolby Laboratories has introduced Dolby Direct Distribution Services—a pan-European satellite content delivery network for digital cinemas.
Currently, digital cinema content needs to be manually uploaded into individual cinema servers. This leads to investment in expensive labor, wasted time and a chance for distribution and delivery of content to go wrong. Dolby Direct Distribution Services claims that with its service, all these problems can be eliminated.
